COMMENTS ABOUT SPEAKERS

  • "In my 50 years of attending military, law enforcement, professional security and leadership training programs, I can honestly say the Bulletproof Conference is among the most profound, impactful, and rewarding experiences of my career. Thank you for a great experience. Well done!!!"

  • "You exceeded my expectations by a wide margin and I've probably been to forty plus shooting/defensive skills/personal protection seminars over the years.  I know good and I know average/mediocre..This was easily in the top two or three..."

  • "... the best conference that I have attended since my first Street Survival Seminar in the early 1980s. I learned a great deal, and this will change how we conduct what I now know is our Safety Ministry."

  • "I thought the 3 day seminar was fantastic."

  • "I have been to classes not nearly as rich in content that cost $500 and more."

  • "Most helpful: guarding the children..."

  • "...the two times that Ken spoke. Some very good informational material."

  • "Enjoyed EACH & EVERY speaker !!!"

  • (about Hank) - "I ENJOYED listening to Hank Fahnert tell his complete story about Sutherland Springs Tx,. The part that I liked the least was, It seemed like as he was telling his, story the questions were being asked it seemed like his train of thought was broken. Complete the story first, then ask questions." (NOTE FROM JIMMY: I noticed this also. Hank's presentation is too "sacred" and needs no distractions. The Q&A during his presentation did disrupt).

  • (Ken) - "Ken was very knowledgeable and presented well.  All the speakers did; however, Ken's was more applicable to us at our church."

  • (Ken) "For me it was the two times that Ken Alexandrow spoke. Some very good informational material."

  • "Kenneth Alexandrow/Warrior mind set/Sex Crimes in church."

TOPICS THEY WISH WE HAD TALKED ABOUT

TOPICS THEY WISH WE HAD TALKED ABOUT

  • "Friday night was a bad call"

  • "Singing , it was cool nothing wrong with patriotic songs but turning it into a singing lesson was a mistake."

  • "Trying to fill time with repeat info is boring for everyone."

  • "You had us singing for cryin' out loud. Why not applying IBDs or tourniquets?"

  •  "I did not enjoy the singing"

  • "Singing." (part I liked least)

  • "NO! Would rather sing worship songs." (comment on singing)

  •  "Sales pitch for Law Shield" (several complaints about USLS sales pitch).

NOTE FROM JIMMY ABOUT US LAW SHIELD

There were several complaints about the US LAW SHIELD sales pitch. Col. Grossman was a bit troubled about the salesman's physical appearance (disrespectful, wearing a hat in a sanctuary. Others commented on this as well. Col. Grossman has decided to go with Right to Bear in future events.

A few days ago when I was driving home from a seminar in Pennsylvania, I drove hundreds of miles out of my way to meet with Right to Bear. They were thrilled about us joining them. They have also committed to something that USLS promised me MANY times, but never delivered. RTB has hired computer specialists who, among their many duties, is going to help us promote our conferences!!! This is HUGE!

NOTE FROM JIMMY ABOUT FRIDAY NIGHT: I didn't like having to go to the junior high, but I had some very good and needed material. However, the school did not have the needed technology in place to make it more effective. In the future, NO Friday meetings. Col. Grossman does not want us doing Friday nights either. He likes the idea of a "free" Friday night so folks can rest, fellowship, etc.

COMMENT FROM JIMMY

Conference hosts always need to be mindful of how they could be more effective. So, some of the comments about suggestions as to what they wish we had addressed, those "presentations" could be pre-recorded and added to the website (such as a "bomb threat presentation")

  • I thought the 3 day seminar was fantastic

  • Would like to see a hands on tourniquet and triage class.  Friday night was a bad call yes but moving to the gym wasn't the problem the problem was there was no new info provided .  Singing , it was cool nothing wrong with patriotic songs but turning it into a singing lesson was a mistake.  I love Grossman been sending police officers to his classes for years.  Trying to fill time with repeat info is boring for everyone. I respect the conference and the purpose. No one is perfect including me . Hopefully that info helps .  God Speed with further conference. (NOTE FROM JIMMY; THE INFO ON FRIDAY NIGHT WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT)

  • 2. Outstanding. Fahnert was good but not in same class as other 3. Hands on exercises would have rounded things out nicely. You had us singing for cryin' out loud. Why not applying IBDs or tourniquets? 4. Yes exclamation point. 5. A steal. I have been to classes not nearly as rich in content that cost $500 and more. 6. The school. Sales pitch for Law Shield. 7. Grossman, Alexandrow & Jimmy Meeks. You would never know Jimmy was a comedian on stage after talking with him many times on phone. He's awesome. 8. Reluctantly at first but yes. 9. They're the experts. They've forgotten more than I know. 10. So many. Still digesting. The laminates hit home personally as I have 6YO twins in school.

  •  Most helpful: guarding the children; I think we were all prepared for shooting discussion. This was great to remind us of the danger to the kids we shepherd. we have installed video cameras in all classrooms and plan to put accountability apps on the primary youth instructors' phones. 2) Speakers: all were helpful 3) What should be added: For Colonel Grossman to research Biblical Counseling (pertaining to session on phych help). The counseling methods he referenced are secular. See 2 Pet. 1:3; Php. 4:4-7. If interested, see Association of Certified Biblical Counselors web site. 4) Would I recommend? Yes 5) Reasonable price: absolutely 6) Session I liked least: n/a 7) What session did I like best: Opening session Colonel Grossman did on biblical principles. This set the tone well. 8) Enjoy singing: yes. I suggest including more Christian songs. I am very patriotic, but patriotism wasn't the point of the conference. 9) Improvement: Just the Jr high setting (which you already addressed) 10) What message did I take home: Statistics about violence rising at churches. This included statistics about deadly force incidents beginning in the parking lot. We began assigning an armed team member to remain outside monitoring the parking lot.

  • I enjoyed all sections.     2.  The speakers were excellent.  Ken and Jimmie were very impactful.  3. Perhaps dealing with drones and what impact they will have on churches in the near future.  4.  Absolutely recommend this conference. We plan on having a version of it at our location.  5.  I believe the admission price was okay.  6. The evening at the junior high was not as valuable as the rest.  7.  Ken was very knowledgeable and presented well.  All the speakers did; however, Ken's was more applicable to us at our church. 8.  I did not enjoy the singing.   9. Everyone did really well and overall it was totally worth coming. The message was clear, we are a target and now is the time to prepare. "

  • The conference was outstanding, loved it. The speakers were great and knowledgeable about what they talked about. The singing was great also. The part that I didn’t like was having to go home! The school party could have been worse, I didn’t mind it. The conference was one of the best that I have been to. What I took back was that you can show people love and respect, but you also have to protect the ones you love. And also making sure the parking lots are covered with security. The price was good.

  • Question 1. For me it was the two times that Ken Alexandrow spoke. Some very good informational material. Question 2. Enjoyed EACH & EVERY speaker !!! Question 3. Can't think of anything.
Question 4. I have told members of my safety team about the conference and how it was a huge impact for me. I left the conference on cloud 9. Looking forward to the upcoming conference in the Chicago area in the upcoming future. Question 5. The price was VERY reasonable. I was shock that the entry fee was only $75.00 for the three days. Question 6. First of all, I ENJOYED listening to Hank Fahnert tell his complete story about Sutherland Springs Tx,. The part that I liked the least was, It seemed like as he was telling his, story the questions were being asked it seemed like his train of thought was broken. Complete the story first, then ask questions.
Since the conference Question 7. Each & Every session was very moving. A lot of work went into to making this conference a HUGE Success. Question 8. LOVED the singing !!! Question 9. Nothing to say. Question 10. Been telling members of my safety team about each session.
    Praying with eyes open.

  • 1. Ken Alexandrow's talk about basically building your team and responding. 2. Speakers were excellent. Only advice I can think of would be better on screen presentations of the information. 3. Not much, there was a lot of information. Maybe talk about ideas of how your already formed team can train as a unit. 4. Absolutely  5. Great Value! 6. Nothing, I liked it all 7. The real life accounts of the speakers, very impactful. 8. At first a little different but as we did it throughout the event it was impactful. 9. Speakers were great. Very much like Jimmy's every situation and bringing it back to scripture. Also his humor is excellent and needed. 10. I am trying to bring this message back to the churches in our area that don't have and don't feel the need to have a safety team. Also helped me realize the things our team is doing right and things we are doing wrong and mostly the things we can improve on. Very helpful!

  • "1. All of it. Kenneth Alexandrow/Warrior mind set/Sex Crimes in church.  2. They were excellent! Loved you all! 3. How to properly put a team together and address the congregation for how they should respond in the event of a situation or active shooter. 4. Absolutely.  Already have. 5. Yes. 6. The singing.  7. Hard to say. All great!  8. NO! Would rather sing worship songs. 9. Can't think of anything right now. 10. Sex crimes, importance of team training and communication. "

  • 1. Ken Alexandro's "Preventing Violence" 2. All the speakers were excellent, gave good presentations. 3. Qualifying our churchs' armed safety personnel in gun handling. 4. Not only would I "recommend" this conference, but I would almost "mandate" it for any church. 5. Very reasonable for the quality. 6. Nothing...all was excellent. Evening meals should have a set price (confusion at the food service cashiers). 7. Col. Grossman's presentations. 8. YES! 9. Have a workbook for easier note-taking, to include slides. 10. That churches, long-thought to be safe places for worship, are not...and that safety personnel must be trained to deal with varying situations and encounters.
