Imagine being a police officer dispatched to the scene of a mass shooting. Upon arrival, you rush inside the building - A CHURCH. There, you witness 46 people who have been shot.
Twenty-six (26) of them will die.
Texas Police Officer Hank Fahnert responded to such a call.
He was on duty on Sunday morning, November 5, 2017, when he responded to a "shooting" at a church. He sped toward the location and UPON ARRIVAL ENTERED THE SANCTUARY.
Inside the sanctuary Officer Fahnert made sure the killer was not there. He then sprang into action, trying to save lives.
The church was First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The small church would now be the site of the deadliest mass shooting in Texas history.
At the conference Officer Fahnert will tell his story of what he witnessed that day, as well as share with attendees the Lessons Learned.
Officer Fahnert has more than 15 years of experience in law enforcement. He currently serves as a training coordinator for the Schertz, Texas, Police Department, where he is responsible for maintaining the training needs, development, and records for the department.
He also serves on the department’s Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) team and as a firearms instructor with the department.

Carl has granted dozens of interviews over the years. He is sought out by many news outlets on matters of church security. Watch an interview with Carl at the bottom of this page.

A local news station in Nashville, knowing that Ken was an expert in such matters, interviewed him. Watch the interview near the bottom of this page.

For several years after a Texas Police Officer stopped the first ISIS attack on American soil - for which he receievd the Presidential Medal of Vaalor - Colonel Grossman told the story of the heroics of the officer at his seminars.
One day a friend of Colonel Grossman suggested that he contact the officer (Greg Stevens - photo) and invite him to join him at some of his seminars, and share his remarkable story.
Not long afterwards, Colonel Grossman and Officer Stevens became close friends.
Both men were stunned at the reaction of the crowd when Colonel Grossman introduced Officer Stevens, and even more so after he shared the story. Greg was was given standing ovations time after time. He quickly became an inspiration to all in attendance.
Greg's story is very captivating, and keeps the listener on the edge of his seat. However, we not only invite him so that attendees hear a thrilling story, but also hear (and learn) - THE SECRET of Greg's life - which contributed to his heroic actions - and kept him alive (and several hundred others).
You will understand what that means once you hear him.
THE DETAILS - On May 3, 2015, the first ISIS attack on American soil occurred. Two terrorists drove from Arizona to Texas with the intent of committing a massacre at a convention center.
They had with them several rifles and over 1400 rounds of ammunition. Officer Greg Stevens confronted the two terrorists, fatally wounding both.
Greg’s story will confirm for you that “We do NOT rise to the occasion; we sink to the level of our training."
BE SURE TO WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW OF GREG RECEIVING THE MEDAL OF VALOR.
A "VOICE" TOLD HIM: PUT YOUR VEST ON - NOW!
The excessive heat was taking a toll on Sgt. Charles Lowe, a 25-year veteran, now retired, of the St. Louis Metro Police Department.
He had landed an off-duty job, and was eager for the night to be over. He decided to give himself a break and take off his vest - to cool down.
But not too long after removing his vest, a “Voice” spoke clearly to his heart:
“PUT YOUR VEST ON - NOW!”
After a moment or two of "arguing" with The Voice, Sgt. Lowe reluctantly complied.
Obeying The Voice would save his life.
A few moments later, while sitting in his car, a vehicle pulled up in front of him and stopped. The front seat passenger exited the vehicle - with gun in hand. He began to fire upon Sgt Lowe.
Sgt. Lowe was struck several times, but each round was stopped by the vest.
Sgt. Lowe, though initially shocked at what had just happened, managed to regain his composure - and then gave chase after the suspect.
The would-be killer, and the driver, were later apprehended. Both received lengthy jail sentences.
Sgt. Lowe retired in June 2024. He now operates his own security company in the St. Louis area. Several of his employees/guards serve at houses of worship.
