ABOUT JIIMMY MEEKS

Jimmy became a minister at age 16 in 1973. After high school, he attended East Texas Baptist University where he met his future wife, Julie (a Southern Baptist missionary kid. They wed in August of 1977.
Jimmy became a police officer in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1980, while attending Oklahoma Baptist University. After graduating OBU, Jimmy and Julie moved to the Ft Worth, Texas area.
Two months later Jimmy became a police officer in Hurst, Texas, where he served for 30 years (retiring in 2015).
Jimmy conducted a church safety seminar in May of 2009. After that seminar, he concluded that his "church safety seminar" days were over.
For several years he traveled with Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, conducting Sheepdog Seminars. Together, they lead over 100 such seminars.
That was over 500 church safety seminars ago!
