No. There will be some "hands-on" training, which would obviously require in-person attendance. However, if we do videotape the conference, we will most likely make that avaiable to those interested.

No. Every session, beginning Thursday afternoon, through Saturday quitting time, will have different content. A host of topics will be covered. We will focus on helping attendess improve skills that are necessary for one who serves as a protector.

Yes. Here's a few examples ...

• We will have presentations on Learning How to De-Escalate. Acquiring this skill is an absolute must for anyone who serves in security (and especially in law-enforcement). 
• We will also address the necessity of having the right Mindset. Serving in security can put one in a dangerous (even "deadly") situation. I must discover whether or not I have the right mindset to serve in such a capacity.
• We will study a particular tragedy that occurred at a church and see what lessons we can learn from that (presented by the person who was there).
• We will have a lawyer whose expertise is on the subject of "The Use of Deadly Force." It should go without saying that we must be familiar with the laws that govern the use of force. If you violate the law that governs the use of force, it may take you a life time to pay for that. Your church will also suffer (emotionally, financially, etc). If you find yourself in a trial in which you are the one who used force, you will be asked about your knowledge of such laws (ask any police officer).

Yes. Certificates of Attendance will be given to each attendee. The certificate will document the number of hours you were present.

We are in the process of submitting all the documentation required by the State of Illinois with the hope that they will grant credit hours to Illinois police officers. So far, it is looking good (but not definite).
