No. There will be some "hands-on" training, which would obviously require in-person attendance for this safety conference.  

We do NOT anticipate having the conference videotaped. 

This is the only safety conference like this presently scheduled. However, if you're interested in hosting this conference in your house of worship (area), we would be more than willing to work with you to make that happen. Send an email to info@bulletproofworshp.com and we will go from there.

No. Every session, beginning Thursday afternoon, through Saturday quitting time, will have different content. A host of topics will be covered. We will focus on helping attendees improve skills that are necessary for one who serves as a protector and church security. CLICK HERE TO SEE AGENDA

Yes. Once you purchase a ticket, you're in the door for all sessions.

No. Please eat breakfast BEFORE you come to the conference.

The plan is to be dismissed around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and return for a Thursday night worship service, scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. So - you will have a 2-hour dinner break. (on your own).

On Friday we must be out of the church by 3:15, due to the church having worship services on Friday night. Thus, we will serve a "light lunch" on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 12 noon. We will dismiss around 3:00 so you can go have an early dinner. The next session will be at the local junior high, starting around 5:00.

No. You are on your own for Friday dinner (see Question/Answer above).

No. Dress comfortably.

Yes. Certificates of Attendance will be given to each attendee. The certificate will document the number of hours you were present.

• Yes. De-escalation skills are an absolute must for anyone who serves in the church security business. 
• We will introduce you to a new approach to de-escalation; something you can easily remember. 
• It is our hope that when you leave the conference you will be on your way to becoming a better communicator than you were  before you arrived. What we will share with you can not only improve your skills as a de-escalator, but also help to improve ALL of your relationships.

The State of Illinois has agreed to grant 8 hours credit to Illinois Police Officers. More info to come on this matter.

• The necessity of having the right Mindset. Serving in security can put one in a dangerous (even "deadly") situation. I must discover whether or not I have the right mindset to serve in such a capacity.
• We will study a particular tragedy that occurred at a church and see what lessons we can learn from that (presented by the person who was there).
• We will have a lawyer whose expertise is on the subject of "The Use of Deadly Force." It should go without saying that we must be familiar with the laws that govern the use of force. If you violate the law that governs the use of force, it may take you a life time to pay for that. Your church will also suffer (emotionally, financially, etc). If you find yourself in a trial in which you are the one who used force, you will be asked about your knowledge of such laws (ask any police officer).

 YES! Sex Crimes are far more in number than shootings. Weekly we read stories of sex crimes occurring in religious settings (church camps, church office, Sunday School rooms, etc). 

Given the fact that these atrocious crimes are in abundance, we will have a session on what we can do to decrease the chances of such a crime occurring. We encourage all those who work with children (Youth Directors, etc) to attend this conference. 

It is absolutely essential that we protect our flock from being victimized by these heinous crimes.  The trauma associated from being victimized in this manner can last a life time. WE … MUST … DO … OUR … BEST … TO … STOP … SEX CRIMES ...

 Yes. However, you should know that when purchasing his books at a seminar, there is usually a long line of people waiting to do so.

This safety conference features some of the most knowledgeable people on the matter of church security in the nation. Combined, they have conducted over 1000 safety seminars for churches (not counting Col. Grossman's presentations). 

ALL CHURCH SAFETY TEAMS require continual training. 

Mount Vernon is 87 miles east of St Louis. You will need to make arrangements for your own transportation. However, there is a chance you could team up with other attendees who are also flying in to St Louis. We will find a way to put you in contact with others in the same predicament.
