On November 5, 2017, an angry stormed into a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. He shot 48 worshipers - fatally wounding 26.
Stephen heard the gunfire from his house (about 100 yards away). He grabbed his rifle an ran to the church where he engaged the killer. Stephen fired several shots, fatally wounding the suspect.
